Meet Simone! This blue eyed girl just wants to be loved. She is about 2 years old, she is deaf and was surrendered to ACCT Philly by her owner who could no longer care for her. ACCT is a high volume kill shelter, Simone wasn’t doing well in the shelter and was way too skinny, so her foster mom brought her home to fatten her up and find her, her forever home. Simone does like other dogs and she was surrendered with a companion dog who was sadly adopted without her. Simone is listed as a Terrier mix. She is house trained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines. She will need work on crate training. Although Simone is deaf it doesn’t slow her down too much, she’s one smart girl! She knows hand signals and listens most of the time (sometimes she would much rather snuggle with a warm human than listen to hand signals) As common in deaf dogs, she is anxious in large crowds and doesn’t like sudden movements. She is nervous in new places and will require some extra TLC to get her properly adjusted to her new home and surroundings. She is lower energy very sweet and eager to please.
